Barabás Róbert Reading ASOIAF and Malazan series side by side, what are your impressions? As in: main differences, similarities, etc?

Viktor Wow, that's a question worthy of an essay.

In short, Erikson's writing style is not as clear cut as Martin's. While both switch perspectives fairly often, Erikson does so in irregular intervalls which can be a bit tedious.

Both have superb world buildung. I prefer Martin's world, but Erikson's characters. (generally)

And Erikson's books might benefit from a stricter editor. They are at least 200-300 pages too long.
