I wonder what it's going to be like for the Gladers when the girl wakes up. Half of the people believe she is up to no good, like Thomas, while the other half of people believe she knows the way to escape the maze. I personally believe she's going to help Thomas figure out how his life was before and this will help him save everyone.

One of the many reasons I am enjoying this book is because, although I can't personally relate to how the characters feel, I like to think about what I would do in these horrific instances. Thomas is hated upon and even got "stung" by another boy. He also deals with seeing a runner who got stung. It amazes me to think about how life is so different for them. The story helps me think more abstractly.

I started to think about how I would feel if I was a "greenie" and had to live in the maze. I don't think I would be able to do it simply because I wouldn't be able to live without my family and friends. The boys living in the Glades have it very tough. They had to give up their entire lives and live in a world completely different than normal society. It would be very hard to remain hopeful in those circumstances.

I decided to read this book because many of my friends had recommended it to me. The movie was very interesting and science fiction novels have always been intriguing. I've read other books like Divergent and I hope to gain a new perspective on the world after reading The Maze Runner.
