Love some of the questions and details that Yellin is pulling into the narrative, like the unsigned codicil in Margaret Horniblow's will, or "Little Miss"'s own treatment by her crappy gross father.
I just found another book, "Whispers of Cruel Wrongs," a collection of letters by Louisa Matilda! I spent a lot of IITLoaSG worried about little "Ellen" and what was going to happen to her, so I need to read this book.

"Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl" ( Bedford/St. Martin's edition, 2009, ed. Jennifer Fleishner) was really good. I had this biography out as a backup in case I wanted more about Harriet Jacobs. YES ACTUALLY.
