Curious: For those of you who write more than a couple paragraphs for your book reviews, how much time do you spend writing your reviews?

james if it's actually long and features quotes and such, then about an hour+-

Lilly [Hiatus due to School] I spend maybe max 20-30mins writing my longer reviews.

Thanks for responding Jonathan! I feel like that is also about what I spend on mine.

Why am I not surprised that you write your reviews as quickly as you read your books! You are so speedy Lilly! I'm jelly. Tbf, I do over analyze everything and I am very indecisive. LOL.

Iman (hiatus) i write while i read it (any thoughts that i could think of). i do this mostly because i’m forgetful but it save so much of my time after i finished my book :)

Tina Alicea I'm very indecisive too that's what makes me so slow on my reviews and edits. Lol Sometimes they flow smoother than others.

hope I feel like mine are 45 mins to an hour. It takes me forever to think about what I want to say (and picking out the quotes I want to use) because I always have a hard time conveying my thoughts to words LOL🤣 Plus, I spend forever re reading my reviews over and over again and I always end up changing a bunch of stuff.

Lilly [Hiatus due to School] Don’t be Stacy 😭 My reviews are like emotional word vomits/rambles and I come back to edit them countless times!😅 I’ve only started writing proper reviews like 6 months ago so still learning!

Drusilla 30-45mins. The good books take more time, the bad ones go faster because it’s more rambling 😊

I have tried a few times to make notes when reading and for whatever reason it hasn't worked out for me yet. I think probably because its new to me and half the time I forgot to do it and/or forget that I have made them. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Totally agree with you on that Tina. Some reviews almost write themselves. Most of the time they don't lol.

I hear you Lilly! I have only more recently started to put more effort into my reviews as well.

LOL! Agree with you on the bad reviews. It's more of a rant and what I didn't like instead of an actual review.
