Page 472 & 473 were very good. Literally a breath of fresh air

This is genuinely killing me bit by bit. You know how English teachers would say ‘show, don’t tell!’? Well, every single description of Coriolanus’ feelings is telling. What little action in the book is incredibly passive. The romance made me die inside and i even thought about reading a colleen hoover book instead of this.

Respectfully… what is happening. The writing is very passive and I’m losing the will to continue (the book)

The romance is causing me physical pain

The first few chapters were unbearingly slow and read like a fan fic, as my friend mentioned they would. Lucy gray is very very manic pixie dream girl in the worst way possible- the reaping scene didn’t even feel real bc i was just rereading it like ‘no way that just happened’ - and not in the good way. The plot seems to be picking up and it seems a bit promising (now i’m on Part 2) but will see!
