It's good so far - they've just reached the Caledonian Canal, after a few major calamities (running aground, running out of diesel).

I didn't know she had written anything other than the Katie Morag stories for children. Apparently she's written two others - on the Highlands and the Hebrides. May keep an eye out for these too.
