The climax in my book is that she finds out her mom isn't really dead. All this time, she was affected by the way her mom was dead to only find out that she wasn't. She didn't even find this out from her dad, she found out by reading her local newspaper. This made me rethink all of my predictions for the end of the story and made me very shocked.

I like how they take a common topic and make it more than that. Her mom died, but she never actually got to meet her because she lives with her dad and her mom lived far away. Because of her mom dying, all of these problems are occurring, like thoughts and questions about her mom and so different mood swings.

"Daniel bounces up and down like a short, skinny pogo stick" This is a simile and I think the author added this so that we could get a better visual of what Daniel was doing.
