These stories are a great reminder of the fact that, no matter how bad life may seem at times, there are families out there dealing with much worse/the unimaginable and barely surviving. I feel more grateful than ever and humbled with every short story I’ve read in this book.

The most recent passage I read was relating to writing your own eulogy. I’ve written my own obituary, but not a eulogy, and so I will need to add this to my list.

The story I read today was about love; the imperfect love of a father for his daughter, layered by His perfect love. Another well written story that rang true for me. I love this book.

In this last chapter I learned about the purification of hope. Phenomenally presented; these were concepts I have learned on the surface, and yet this reading helped me to further understand hope in the process of life, including the pursuit of purpose.

Greatest lesson: “Hope is not merely a wish that something good might happen – it is the firm confidence and desire that the promises of God will be fulfilled.”
Personally, this was something I needed to read tonight. Maybe you’re like me; I don’t believe in coincidences.

Hope is discussed in terms that I both have not heard before and which are personally meaningful to me at this time in my life. I'm looking forward to reading more; this is clearly a quality book.

I don’t remember ever reading an opening to a book that was as meaningful as this one. From one of the stories within: “Just pray for me on this side of heaven and know I’ll be praying for you on the other. Then one day we’ll meet again.”
