so, basically the last 20% of this book is filler-scenes. which i am conflicted about. one one hand, yea! no more of the fucking ridiculous 'not-barry' crap, on the other, i just read 30 pages of pointless storytelling.

this is the second book in two days that has said something along the lines of the mc having to turn in his 'man card' for being slightly emotional. i find this annoying in in the extreme. showing emotion is not a) womanly and b) a bad thing. stop perpetuating the myth that the 'alpha male' is the only way to be a real man.
