extremely valuable and engrossing so far. the details from kim himself paint a vivid account of the horrors of japanese imperialism from the vantage point of his childhood, as well as the beginnings of the communist movement and it's outgrowth from the nascent bourgeois nationalist move in the wake of its failures. considering the massive length - over 2100 pages - i will be making occasional comments as i press on
