I can't figure out what annoys me more about this book - the lack of any quoteworthy sentences or its abject failure to create any emotional resonance.

Bloodorange "I sympathize" instead of "like", obviously. Such books are usually beyond frustrating.


Samadrita Frustrating indeed. I am completely unaffected by the dystopian horror so far.

Dolors Sounds ominous Sama. I have the motto of never dropping a book but Lessing herself advised to quit a read that didn't meet our current moods or expectations...


Samadrita This is my first Butler so I'll just have to trudge on and see what lies ahead. Not willing to give up so soon.
