The final 1/4 has picked up. I'm glad I stuck it out, but it took way too long to get interesting.

It's a struggle to come back to this after taking a break for a buddy read. I really didn't miss it - forgot I was right in the middle of it, actually.

Tad Williams is a master at inventing new voices for different genres. I don't even recognize this as written by him. So jury's still out on whether I will like this or not. It's very different from his other work.
