We finally learn how they were able to escape from Iran, and how his mother thought that they were miracles. How he had to leave Mr. Sheep Sheep unless he wanted the sheep to be sliced by the police in the airport. It's sad to see how Daniel's dad had to stay behind, I do wonder what would've happened if his dad decided to go with them to Oklahoma instead of staying behind.

We finally got the reason why Daniel's family had to flee from their home country. He explains that when going to a wedding in London, his sister went to school and got her finger cut off and when she returned home and went to her room she saw Jesus which in return made their mother take up Christianity. Which is considered a sin in their home country. That's the reason they had to leave.

Daniel continues to tell us about different stories, some made up and others that aren't. We get to learn about the way he lives, and how he gets bullied for various reasons, like the way his food smells, the way he dresses, and other things. He also talks about how people think that refugees never sit, never sleep, and only work. The reason why they had to flee from his home country. I'm really enjoying this book.

Daniel continues to talk about myths that he was told when he was smaller and traumatic things that happened, like when his stepfather broke his mother's jaw. In the church where there were bullies who bullied him because of the hat that he had which was a dolphins team hat and how there was an alteration where he got his thumb broken, then his stepfather came back to live with them because the priest said so.

Daniel talks about love stories, and myths of love, the reason why he starts to talk about love is that he confesses to being in love with Kelly a beautiful girl with blonde hair who rolls her eyes too much, but like any other love story or myth love doesn't always end with a happy ending, he believes that Kelly would never love him because of the way he looks or because of the clothes he has, unlike the other boy.

Daniel tells us about all the myths he has heard, 1,001 myths that the girl would tell the king in order to not be killed like the other wives. The story follows Daniel and his life as an immigrant child, how "the streets were not paved ith gold. and how the immigrants were the ones expected to do the paving"

Daniel also speaks about his stepdad Ray who would hit his mom and would be rude but nice to Daniel.
