Haha, so buddy claims to have spent 7 hrs per day hoeing his bean plot during growing season because apparently turning the soil ‘attracts virtue’ (ie. fertilizer). Dude, you got a good crop because the earth was fresh. You would have eventually needed fertilizer if you planned to live on that plot long term and raise a family.

*sigh* Did he just say that the slaves who built the pyramids should have committed suicide rather than degrade themselves to forced labor? Oh, and now he’s describing how the postal system and newspapers are pointless and evil.

However, he’s lost me on the part where he’s preaching about how everyone should build their own home. Dude, you are going back somewhere every night after working on your canon in the woods. Are you staying in one of those spare rooms that you state are unnecessary? What about the disabled? What about single women with small children?

Ok so the dude has an excellent point about fast fashion, but the whole ‘patching your pants’ argument is pulling avocado toast argument vibes.

Buckle up! Chapter 1 and he’s already compared a white mans toil on his own farm to slavery, dismissed listening to advice from old people because they are so entrenched in the economic machine, and made an argument for veganism!
