Issue #4:
(1) The ending of this sets up a sequel. There's still loose ends and unfinished business, plus new elements and new possibilities.
- It'll be interesting which way they go with it, the conventional or YA routes. Judging how they retrofitted this to fit their YA line, I'm guessing that's the plan going forward. Though having read both, I hope they go conventional.

Issue #3
(1) Being a YA noob, I wonder how prevalent the "female protagonist meets mysterious bad boy" trope is. It's been in every one I've read.
- DC did practically the same bad boy storyline in New 52 Supergirl with the character H'El, and that's not YA at all.
(2) I appreciate that the evil scientist villain doesn't fit the stereotype, especially considering the genre.

Issue #2:
(1) Generally, I prefer not to have my comics colored in monochrome. Though I will admit that it can produce some neat and beneficial effects.
- I like that Kara is usually marked out with some bit of her colored red. It easily identifies her in a crowd, which is nice because this is pre-uniform Supergirl, and it separates her from every other plainclothes blonde.

Issue #1:
(1) This "YA edition" has been re-colored more or less monochrome, with the occasional red highlight.
- Yellow for indoors and blue for outdoors... which is weird because it looks like night all the time.
(2) Having read "Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass," I'm thankful this is just a converted non-canon miniseries, and wasn't originally intended as a YA graphic novel.
