It's annoying and painful to read.

I really don't like this series, but I apparently like to punish myself. This one is by half a star better than the first one, but the only reason why they are both rated with two stars is because I'm reluctant to rate anything with 1 star.

Others see things in these books that just escape me.

Hmmm, I have the same problem with some authors. You feel like you ought to like them because everyone else does. And you keep giving them a chance one after another.

Yes, I don't like giving one star either, at all, but giving a book that you honestly, honestly thought was bad a rating that states it was "okay" isn't fair either. And I give fairly many two star ratings to good books because three stars is a very good rating and you just have to mark the difference in some way. I'm having a hard time with these star ratings lately. *sigh*

Same here. Before I never even read a book that I would have rated with 4.5 stars for example, now, everything seems to be somewhere in between.

You're probably right, and I should rate it with one star. I'll think about it.

lol I wanna know who they end up with. If you know something similar but that it's written in Lynn Hagen style please do tell, I'll drop the next book in a heartbeat.

Ha, not sure I know of any like that! Have you read all the Hagen stuff?

That I know of. Well, except the one that is supposed to come out today. I like to read at least 2-3 at once so I wait.
