Because I am not very far in this book, I am going to compare Vera from the beginning of ATTWN to the end. Vera starts as a very level headed girl, who seems innocent and can stay calm in any situation. By the end of the book, she seems to have gone insane, thinking that her last lover is upstairs and he wants her to hang herself. By watching 9 others get murdered and just killing another person, she has gone crazy
