The theme in my book is kindness. Everywhere Taylor went someone was always judging her or looking at her weird, but others in the book were really kind to her. The tire lady was very very kind to her and Turtle. She gave them food and showed her around her work. The tire lady also helped her find a place to stay and gave her some advice on how to get along in Arizona.

The main character in this book is really tough. She's not someone who will cry over failure or a mistake or how bad she has it. She is very tough. With her toughness she has found success in finding a place to live and work. Even though Taylor's success isn't anything great it's still better and I think she has had some success because of how tough she is.

I am reading this book because I needed a challenging book to read and Mr. Johnson recommended it. I choose this book because it sounded interesting and had a different plot than anything I had read before although it isn't very challenging yet.
