I'm not too far into my book at all but I can sill figure out what I think the theme of the story is. I personally think its about confidence, because the people that are sorting trash are trying to find things that they can either sell to gain more money or keep because its wroth something. They have to keep their confidence up because if they have no confidence they aren't going to want to keep doing this job.

The main character in my book seamed very proud of himself when we found a bag full of eleven thousand pesos. But he also questioned himself, 'will the police find out'? Witch got me a little bit confused because they are sorting trash, he found all this money in the trash. Somebody must have thrown away all that money by mistake or something. My thought was why would he get in trouble, he found it and kept it.
