This book is very interesting, just like all of its predecessors. The conflict is escalating quickly, and we find out that the main characters mom isn't who everyone thinks she is. The setting, for the first time in the series, is shifting to another country, and that means anew environment and a new variety of creatures for tom and the spook to battle.

The book is now nearing its end, and the battle between the Ordeen and toms mom is over. I'm looking forward to reading the next book, as there is one problem in this book that is left unaddressed- the fiend. The book was a fun read, and I would strongly recommend this series to anyone interested in fantasy.

The book is in its climax, and Tom is in Greece fighting the Ordeen. It has been revealed that Toms mom is not who she seems to be, and she has strong ties to the Ancient Greek gods. Alice has unlocked her full potential as a witch, and she's helping Tom in this battle against the evil god Ordeen.
