It's got to be friendship because Harry right away knows who his friends are and who aren't. His relationship with Ron is very strong. Right away when the first meet they just became friends and it also helped that there in the same house. Also with Hermione when Harry and Ron saved he from the troll. They're like inseparable now. Also who isn't Harry's friends like Malfoy Who's been a jerk to Ron and Harry.

Well Harry cares about his friends and their stuff which helps him save stuff like Neville's remember all when Malfoy threw it. And when he caught it, Professor McGonagall Made him the new seeker and got him a nimbus two thousand.

I'm at the part where Harry is about to be put in a house for Hogwarts. I've seen the movie so I kind of know what they've changed so far. In the movie they have Harry meets Malfoy in the school when it was actually on the train.
