The theme of my book is never give up because she tries her best not to give p on escaping the kidnapping.

I don't like how Gemma plans to escape but she never does. I think if she is going to plan this she acctually has to try and escape.

The current conflict is Gemma is trying her best to try and escape her kidnapping. She is trying to trick her kidnapper in taking her outside so she can just dart off and escap.
