Foxe's chapter on John Hooper is a great read. An amazing man and martyr.

William Tyndale! I now want to see Tyndale's introduction to the books of the Bible. I also wonder how difficult it is to read his translation today.

Enjoyed, not sure if that is the right word, given the context, this chapter. Wishart's dying words and actions glorify God. Also, reading about Knox and Calvin is always nice.

Wycliffe. Love reading about this one. I still wonder about the language updates in this version though. Sounds way too evangelical for the time in which it was written. Would have to compare to the original.

The pope's crusade against the Albigenses and the Inquisition. I find it interesting that Foxe, or the updates refer to these schism groups as Reformed. Were they?

I had no idea that the Arians lasted so long (Not that they are gone today: Jehovah's Witnesses) or that they had power long enough to kill so many Christians. Also, Islam shows its nature in this period, killing anyone who questions Muhammed.
