In the end, Stevie and Susan carol decide not to put Doyle's story out in public, because Doyle is already going through a lot of pain from the car accident and the story would really hurt and maybe even end his career.

Joe Molloy, a cop in Lynchburg is being interviewed by Stevie about the car accident, and he lies about everything. He is a big liar, coward, and he is not a good cop. “So it seems like the good cop is turning out to be the bad cop" (238).

I think the theme of this chapter was that Stevie and Susan carol are going to have to go back to Lynchburg, Virginia to interview police office Joe Molloy and Jim Hatley- again!! And neither one of them are happy about it.

I think that the story is soon going to have a big twist because Stevie says “ covering the World Series is getting worse by the minute." (205). I think that their will be very bad news for Stevie about his teenage job as being a sports journalist.

I think that the sentence “I'm not sure if phrase it that way" (184). Means that bobby Kellher, the guy saying the line, is saying really that he doesn't think that's exactly it and that he may be a little off from what they were looking for.

When Stevie goes to Jim Hatley's house, a retired police officer who was on the scene of the crash in 1997, Hatley doesn't let him in and says “you have 5 seconds to get your off my property, or I'm gonna have buster come after ya!!!" (168).

Stevie goes to Doyle's hometown in Lynchburg, Virginia to find some old files on a car crash from 1997, because doyles wife was killed in it. He finds that a man was looking at the same file a few hours earlier. “ are you sure you don't remember what he looks like?" (146)

When Norbert Doyle pitches his first mlb game ever, in the World Series, he gets 1 out away from a no hitter. Stevie and Susan carol can't even get to him to interview him in the clubhouse after the game because it's is so mobbed. “I woke up this morning thinking that I was never gonna start in a World Series, let alone almost get a no hitter in one." (98).

After the interview, David Doyle, Norbert doyles son, and Susan carol sneak around behind Stevie's back and she keeps lying about it. She tells Stevie that she just went for a walk by herself and Stevie says “did David Doyle go on the walk with you?" (76).

Stevie and Susan carol go to interview Norbert Doyle over breakfast. Norbert Doyle changes throughout the book so far from being a confident person to a very scared and nervous person, because the nationals manager just told him that he will be startling game 2 of the World Series tonight.
