3.5/5 stars right now. The end was a little better than the first book, and the plot was also a little better than the first book, and I liked the characters a little better than the first book. I found myself zoning off in the middle, but the storylines veered away from the first book about 75% of the way through. I don't know right now whether I will pick up book 3 if it's just more of the same. I like the writing.

3/4 stars right now. Pretty much a repeat of the first book. Minute differences in the characters, but whole storyline seems very, very similar. Writing is good enough to finish, but I don't know whether I will finish the next two books - I can't get myself to read another book that is almost identical.
