brilliant & engaging writing with a detailed, sly and irreverently sarcastic on life. Threw me for a loop because what I though was a boneheaded mistake by the protagonist was not that at all. Shaping up to be The Eiger Santion playing out at sea level.

brilliant & engaging writing, but after a while the constant patter of arrogantly sarcastic comments from the main character—Seventeen— who haS a slashing opinion of everything but the doorknobs in every scene—gets tiring. Seventeen is supposed to be a stratospherically smart & capable assassin, but by page 50 has committed a massive, head-slapping mistake of contrived coincidence that defies believability. GROAN!
