The baseball scene is still the best but I LOVE that Jasper is using his ability to cloak Bella and himself from the new vampires. This is fantastic on Stephanie’s part to do this

I love when Edward reference something that was revealed in the later books in the series. This book couldn’t have been written until after the whole series was established

I am 100% judging Bella based on her favorite books—and they’re not bad. It reminded me I should also, like Edward, read Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton. So interesting that Meyer included that book!

I appreciate how much Edward cares about Angela and is determined to make her happy for being nice to Bella xD

It’s a shame vampire Bella never ran into the guys from Port Angeles. I think I would have been okay if they were the only humans she killed.

My life was an unending, unchanging midnight. It must be, by necessity, always be midnight for me. So how was it possible that the sun was rising now, in the middle of my midnight?
