Hmm, not buying this old debt thing. It would be illegal/invalid in present day. The author justifies this by forcing Nila to go with Jethro under the threat of her family's lives but I still think it wouldn't stand.

Ugh I am not finding this attractive at all. Wondering now if I have a love hate relationship with this author. Didn't like the main guy in Destroyed until halfway through but this guy, Jethro, is worse!
