I am 73% through the book and so far I really like it. I know very little about Williams and Barfield. This book summarizes their ideas and does so in a way that contributes to the argument of the book. There is enough there and it is complex enough that this read though is for learning about two of the subjects and to get a feel for the total book. I will have to reread this book for total comprenhension.

So far this is a satisfying read. I'm not so familiar with Barfield and Charles Williams. It is good to have their thoughts outlined. On top of that the author knits the ideas of the chapters together in a way that illuminates each with the rest. This time though I am reading to get new information and take in the overview. It will require another reading for me to take in the parts and the overall argument.
