Starr is finally realizing what her identity is. She knows since shes black it will never be equal or fair for her or her family. As Starr prepares for the interview she notices her dad finally getting along with her uncle. It gives her deja vu.

Today was a AH-HA moment because Chris decided to talk to Starr about her not telling him she was a witness to Khalil's death. That makes me feel like he might just want to know more details about that night. When he had said this all Starr could think was how she was a witness and all he cares about is her not telling him.

Starr finally had a interview to open up about Khalil and his death. After this interview all Starr can feel is sickness and nervousness because everyone keeps asking her about the interview. She decided to lie about part of Khalil's life and only her mom and dad noticed, how will her friends react though?

The interview Starr saw on the TV of DA has been impacting her a-lot recently. She cant think about anything else but the interview. And to make matters worse she has her fight with Hailey stuck in her head too.

Maverick finally found out that DaVenta is hiding something from them and finally gets it out of him. Maverick had to take him to Uncle Carlos to keep his family safe from King

Chapter 9 is helping me understand that even though Starr is dealing with Khalil's death she still needs to know she has all her family on her side to help her.

My book has turned into almost all Memory Moments because everytime Starr sleeps she wakes up from a nightmare of Khalil or Natasha's death. Starr will never forget the days they both died.

My book is officially starting to turn into a AH-HA moment because when starr goes to khalil's funeral she starts to realize that khalil looks way different in the casket and she cant bear to stare at him anymore.

My book is officially turning into a AH-HA moment and Memory Moments because when the FBI started asking Starr about Khalil and his death she has to remember that night of the incident and the FBI agent sounds like shes putting the blame on Starr and Khalil.

Chris if trying to do stuff to her but she doesn't want to do it. Chris slipped his hand in her shorts and she didn't think anything of it, But she knows she wasn't ready for what Chris was doing.
