I am really trying to be positive, but it is exceptionally hard. The book is littered with exclamations in italics such as "Woah." or "Nice.", which serve no purpose. So far, there is a lack of any kind of originality. We don't know anything about the carters, so it is hard to relate to them, or feel anything when they are in danger etc. The narration doesn't flow, the sentences are weird and basic.
