Monk meets Stottlemeyer secretly while the blue flu is still around. They're not on the best of terms right now. Let's hope things get better for the two. As of the moment, Monk has to accept that he can't solve every case in the world. He reluctantly takes Stottlemeyer's advice and delegates cases to his team according to their skills.

At this point in the investigation, it turns out Julie's "expertise" as a teenager is helpful in getting Mr. Monk and his team a lead.

I am a fan of the TV series and this is the first novel from the book series that I get to read. I like the story so far and on paper, it does not lose the touch that the show has. The funny Monk moments are there, the Monk and Stottlemeyer Banter, Disher's silliness, and so on. It would really be great if this was an actual episode because the actors would do really great!
