My great uncle fell at this battle and this book mentions him three times and even has his photo in it I discovered his trunk this year in the attic nobody had seen it for over 80 years ! Medals,photos, that telegram and letters; a real discovery that prompted me to follow his footsteps in the Somme this summer from the time he landed on France to the place he fell.
