We are following Allison's recalling of what she thinks of her scar and how she imagines people think of her scar. Honestly, I am unsure why this was included in the story as of right now. I am wondering how much of this book is filler.

Saint X has a quote in which Allison's diary reads, "Do you ever wish something terrible would happen to you so the world could see how strong you are?" (Schaitkin, 191) I thought this quote was fascinating and a satisfying moment of foreshadowing. It's not technically foreshadowing, but it is an interesting dynamic of Allison's pre-death compared to the present where her sister is listening to this diary entry.

(Makeup) Something I am currently not enjoying about this book thus far is how much it has slowed. I can't tell what actions are being taken or what lines of text are anecdotes from other people/points of view. It is feeling very muddy.

Clive's current stutter is interesting as it ties back into his childhood stutter which we assumed was gone previously.

"How are you doing today Clive?"
Previously I had predicted that Claire/Emily was going to interview Clive and I was correct.

So far Claire is still trying to explore more about her sister. I predict that next, she is going to meet and speak with Clive more thoroughly.
