I usually like high fantasy but I am having a hard time getting into this book. I think I am,starting to like ans relate to a certain character and then something happens to change that in the story.

It took until almost the halfway point of this book for it to actually become interesting and engaging to me. I still am not sure that any of the characters are one that I like or dislike even at this point. It does need some wow factor or moment sooner than halfway, however. Even Simon being transported to another world just didn't cut it as that reader grabbing moment for me.
