Definitely almost kickstarted another spiral - while he does get "better" at the end of the story it glorifies having an ED. The fact that the superpowers weren't a figment of his ED-brain throws me off a bit (raising awareness for EDs in men is important, yes, but this paints an almost pretty picture out of it) but it's well written and engaging (and queer!! I love queer books). A good, but concerning, book.
