Its so easy to forget just how bad things were for the neuro-diverse in centuries gone by, what a depressing and tragic reminder of the low value a human life can have when pseudo-science is the norm. The fact that eugenics is still lightly disguised as economic rationalism and topic discussed these days is quite frankly horrifying. Those Nazis weren't the only ones who were the worst.
