I... just do not care about this book. It's been two weeks and I haven't even gotten 100 pages in. The prose is exhausting and nothing is happening; this book feels like it's trying to actively resist being interesting. Putting this one back on the shelf.

Sorry to hear that you’re not enjoying it. Have you read any other work of his? I have a short story collection by him, was thinking about reading it.

Nah, this was my first attempt with Chabon and a few of my irl friends not on GoodReads kept recommending this book specifically, but it just did not click with me.
