I'd said I'm done reading trauma.
I just wanted some feel-good young romance. And I picked a gay coming of age love story. I should have known that this book will wreck me, and it did. I haven't had a book give me several visceral reactions like this book. A couple of times, I had to stop to catch my breath before continuing because it's so sad and beautiful and tragic.
