This book is a bit of a puzzle to me: it's start is not as strong as I would like, but I just have the sense that the rest of the tale will be fascinating (though the jury's still out on how well it will be told). So far, it's been almost exclusively about her parents' early life together, which is interesting but....

This is a fascinating story and a sad one. Philippa Schuyler was an incredibly gifted woman who never quite found herself in life. Her journey is as compelling as it is tragic. A good read and an adequately (if not movingly) written book....

This is an interesting book: once you progress from the introduction to the parents, the protagonist's early life is (far) more interesting. It doesn't wuite flow as much as I would like, but it's a gripping and fascinating (if a bit sad) story....
