It's a testament to the purity of Steve's intentions with animals that he would go thru all these life-risking measures to catch a dangerous animal in danger of being shot by hunters/poachers and teach it to be people-shy and free it back into the wild hoping it'll learn not to show itself to humans and in return stay safe... All these and he isn't getting anything in return except that pure joy of helping animals

It's actually so crazy that Steve caught all these humongous crocs all by himself (with the moral support of his dog, Chilli)
Imagine all the steps he has to do all alone...from making the traps, jumping on the crocodile which requires precision and perfect timing, removing the nets if the croc is caught in the trap, hoisting that heavy heavy animal into his boat, etc.. Mind-blowing
What an absolute legend!!!

This part where Steve talks abt how his father was his mentor, best friend, hero and he mimics him knowing one day he'd just be like him and he grew up to be exactly like him....I can't not think of Robert not able to have these direct experiences with Steve and only seeing him through the footages of his father's shows and I am having intense secondhand grief
