I think I need a lesson on American culture. And perhaps lessons on gods from various mythologies or something. With that being said, the plot is pretty original and I'm finally starting to make sense of things. Yay!

I think I'll have to return to the Malazan books after this... Miss the universe too much. Besides, I just read the weirdest scene ever. Seriously, what. Moral of the story: If she's too good, run for your freaking life regardless of what your lust is telling you. Well, unless you want the weirdest and creepiest crap ever to happen to you.
