Slow burn…I mean SLOOOW. But with that being said it is a really good book. We meet Aranya as she is fresh from the academy and on her way to her first job. She finds an unexpected obstacle at her post, Kai, now she must fight to stay in the running for this post when a fortunate turn of events causes her luck to change. Will she be able to prove herself? We don’t know cuz the book ends on a cliffhanger!!!!!
