Gets much better as it goes along

Mixed reaction so far: it's easy to read and the subject is an important writer, one of my favorite poets. The focus is on her work, which I appreciate but which I think should be made clear at the outset. Also, a lot of poetry "analysis" is very general: if the focus is the poetry, the analysis should more complex.
