Some of the words in my book like the word oblivion means the state of being unaware or unconscious of what is happening. It affects how Hazel met Augustus., and how they turned into friends.

The theme of my story is to never give up hope. For example when Hazel knew Gus was dying, she wanted to believe that he would be okay. Another example is when Gus had hope for Issac after he had his surgery.

The point of view in my book is first person. One sentence is "Late in the winter of my seventeenth year, my mother decided I was depressed presumably because I rarely left the house, spent a lot of time in bed, red the same book over and over, ate infrequently, and devoted quit a bit of my abundant free time to thinking about death." This point of view effects the plot because it tells what she is thinking and doing

One action verb/detail in my book - "an apocalyptic pain fingering out from the unreachable center of my head."
