Everytime he talks about the experiences he had either playing shows or recording you feel like your right there with him. He talked about playing on the same stage with the Ramones that had to be a trip. He seemed to look up to the Sex Pistols he talks about their career a lot it was almost like he was always there when they played a show almost like he's telling their story as well.

Billy was really learning the ropes learning how to get into the industry that he was so passionate about playing shows when he could following the Punk style looking the part and keeping to the part. The belief of freedom in it. He was a part of writing and making the music now and it was now coming down to him going solo in a way as Billy Idol.

Not much happening here in this chapter. The Punk Scene was growing the scene was moving itself to another bigger venue where the music could still be enjoyed and heard...

Short chapter but still good he sums it up by proving their music was worth listening to as a band barely making it in the Punk Music Scene. They were putting their demo out there and people were interested in buying it. He started
to learn how the music industry works it was something he was proud of.

It's amazing as I read more and more like your there with him all the upincoming people and bands he saw and knew like The Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop a lesser known at that time David Bowie. The Punk scene was his life as he continued to dedicate his life to it no matter what it took he did it...

This chapter read like a story that was made up but clearly this is an autobiography Billy was there for it all. Whether it was dating an being a part of the rising of the Punk scene he was dating and watching this new world he was a part of come rising up from the underground it would seem. He was a part of making what is now the Roxy club come alive it was where the Punk scene was taking shape....

Wow what a chapter he seemed to know the sex pistols at the time. He was driven to have and become what is known now as Punk and he wasn't going to stop at nothing. He was attending a show that was made up of the Punk scene things got wild and crazy because of the way he and people he knew where dressed. It was a whole new style that he embraced. It was what he would become.

Finally getting back to this book. Billy was about the Punk style. This chapter talks about his days in the scene and getting into the style cutting his hair short dying it and having a style all his own. Punk but the style he learned from The Sex Pistols and other people in the scene.

He finally moves to a place where he starts to develop his skills in music finds new friends and gets into the spot he wants to be. He also grew his hair out long to match with the scene. He started playing music with people he met who were new friends. He continued going to shows also like he did before he moved.

What a great chapter he really found his way into music as we all did discovering music at a young age from hanging out with friends and listening to bands that his friends were into and experiencing a sort of Woodstock festival where he was living at the time everything was good he had friends he was having a good time until he had to pick up and go as his dad had to find a new job and now it was time to go.
