As i mentioned to Eddy Rathke earlier, Icarium is such a beautifully tragic figure, I can never stop being amazed at how well he's written. Especially e.g. in Deadhouse Gates how he ponders [while he, Mappo, Fiddler, Apsalar, & Crokus are all guests of Iskaral Pust*] whether Apsalar's memories are not returning more quickly due to their presence, or rather his. Just so damn good!
