The book I had started to read is called: Deck Z. As of right now not much is happening but this doctor is evaluating the plague that hasn't broken out yet. His name is Doctor Theodore Weiss. You can tell by the name he is going to be in Germany.

The captain notices something very strange with a certain passenger and contacts Weiss as soon as he could. Weiss goes to the room and checks it out and there was another infected.

Weiss escapes the room and tries to find the captain but is stopped by one of his men, the man lets him in but the captain doesn't believe him and sends him out.

Weiss was escaping Germany to get to great Britain, to get on the Titanic to get this plague to America so Germany can't use it as a weapon.
