I'm really enjoying this book so far but one thing I can't understand. Fredricks wasn't on campus on the night of the murder as he was supposed to be. When he is questioned by Jazz (the detective) about this, he says he can't tell her as it was 'private' and she just accepts this. What kind of police officer would just accept a potential suspect/witness/accomplice saying their alibi was 'private' and leave it at that
