I first thought that the narrator was making a flashback about his childhood with his old neighbor Gill, but then I realized that he talked about a moment when Gill made him realize something and went right back to the story where it left off.It was kind of like what a movie would do.

The part about all the bikers riding together and discussing how unfriendly cars are to bikers reminds me of a time that I was riding through the city on Milwaukee and out of no where a car opened their door without checking for bikers when there was an obvious bike bath on that street. This made me realized how unfriendly cars are to people.

The part about Travis going to this bike event in Chicago where he didn't really know what it was but knew all these bikers meet up for an event called critical mass can relate to me because I've been to Critical mass before and found out about it through my uncle. When I went my first time I didn't know what exactly it was, I just knew it was a bike event.

Imagery for me was when the author is talking about riding through downtown Chicago on a bike as a messenger, because the author names all the streets he turns on and things like that, and i can picture all of that because I always ride downtown.
